  (2 Corinthians 3:7-9) The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.  Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!

  (Galatians 5:4) For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

  The world teaches salvation by "works",  Jesus teaches salvation is a "gift"

  (Ephesians 2:8-9) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

  Embrace grace, don't Disgrace grace　恵みを受け入れよう。恵みを否定しないように。
  
  (Romans 6:1-2) Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace?  Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

  Faith Pleases God　信仰は神様を喜ばせる
  
  (Hebrews 11:6)And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

  神様の全開の愛

  (John 13:1,4-5) It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love………..(4) so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. (5)After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
  (ヨハネ 13:1､4-5) さて、過越の祭りの前に、この世を去って父のみもとに行くべき自分の時が来たことを知られたので、世にいる自分のものを愛されたイエスは、その愛を残るところなく示された。（４）夕食の席から立ち上がって、上着を脱ぎ、手ぬぐいを取って腰にまとわれた。 (5)それから、たらいに水を入れ、弟子たちの足を洗って、腰にまとっておられる手ぬぐいで、ふき始められた。
  
  (Ephesians 2:8-9) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (9)not by works, so that no one can boast.
  (エペソ 2:8-9) あなたがたは、恵みのゆえに、信仰によって救われたのです。それは、自分自身から出たことではなく、神からの賜物です。(9) 行ないによるのではありません。だれも誇ることのないためです。
  
  What is Grace? 恵みって何？
  
  Grace= Charis (Greek) chara, "joy," chairo, "to rejoice"
  恵み＝カリス（ギリシャ語）チャラ、「喜び」、チャイロ、「喜ぶこと」
  
  - Grace is free and undeserved　恵みは条件なしで、タダでもらえる。
  
  (Romans 11:6) And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
  (ローマ 11:6) もし恵みによるのであれば、もはや行ないによるのではありません。もしそうでなかったら、恵みが恵みでなくなります。
  
  - Grace is a Gift from God　恵みは神様からのプレゼント
  
  (Ephesians 2:8) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
  (エペソ 2:8) あなたがたは、恵みのゆえに、信仰によって救われたのです。それは、自分自身から出たことではなく、神からの賜物です。
  
  1. Grace takes our old identity and gives us new identity　
  恵みは古いアイデンティティを取って、新しいアイデンティティをくれる
  
  (1 Corinthians 15:10) But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
  (1コリント 15:10) ところが、神の恵みによって、私は今の私になりました。そして、私に対するこの神の恵みは、むだにはならず、私はほかのすべての使徒たちよりも多く働きました。しかし、それは私ではなく、私にある神の恵みです。
  
  - We don’t make our identity, we receive our identity.
  　わたし達自身でアイデンティティをつくるのではなく、アイデンティティを受け取る。
  
  - There our focus shift from ourselves to God and What God can do.
  　そこでわたし達の意識が自分から神様や神様ができることに集中することができる。
  
  2. Grace gives us freedom　恵みは自由を与えてくれる
  
  (Romans 6:14) Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
  (ローマ 6:14) というのは、罪はあなたがたを支配することがないからです。なぜなら、あなたがたは律法の下にはなく、恵みの下にあるからです。
  
  (Acts 20:24) But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
  (使徒 20:24) けれども、私が自分の走るべき行程を走り尽くし、主イエスから受けた、神の恵みの福音をあかしする任務を果たし終えることができるなら、私のいのちは少しも惜しいとは思いません。
  
  - We are now free to choose. But we also can choose wrong things.
  わたし達は自由に選択することができる。でも、わたし達は間違ったものを選択することもできる。
  
  - What are you using your life for?　あなたは人生をどのように使ってる？
  
  3. Grace gives us power 恵みは力を与えてくれる
  
  (James 4:6) But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires.
  (ヤコブ 4:6) しかし、神は、さらに豊かな恵みを与えてくださいます。
  
  (Acts 6:8) Now Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.
  (使徒 6:8) さて、ステパノは恵みと力とに満ち、人々の間で、すばらしい不思議なわざとしるしを行なっていた。
  
  - Grace is the power to have victory in our inner battle.恵みはわたし達の内側の戦いに勝つ力を与えてくれる
  
  4. Grace makes us give grace to others　恵みは他の人に恵みを与えられるようにしてくれる
  
  (Hebrews 12:15) See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
  (ヘブル 12:15) そのためには、あなたがたはよく監督して、だれも神の恵みから落ちる者がないように、また、苦い根が芽を出して悩ましたり、これによって多くの人が汚されたりすることのないように、
  
  (Galatians 5:4) For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.
  (ガラテヤ 5:4) 律法によって義と認められようとしているあなたがたは、キリストから離れ、恵みから落ちてしまったのです。
  
  (James 4:6) But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
  (ヤコブ 4:6)　しかし、神は、さらに豊かな恵みを与えてくださいます。ですから、こう言われています。「神は、高ぶる者を退け、へりくだる者に恵みをお授けになる。」
  
  - We are saved by grace, and we continue to live by grace.
  わたし達は恵みによって救われる。そして、恵みによって生き続ける。
  
  - Legalism takes us away from God’s grace
  律法主義が神様の恵みからわたし達を引き離す。

  (2 Corinthians 6:2) now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
