神様がするあたらしいこと Allowing God to do “new” things in you life
(Luke 1:26-38) In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, (27) to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. (28）The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."(29)Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. (30)But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. (31)You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. (32)He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, (33)and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." (34)"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" (35)The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (36)Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. (37)For nothing is impossible with God." (38)"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
(ルカ 1:26-38) ところで、その六か月目に、御使いガブリエルが、神から遣わされてガリラヤのナザレという町のひとりの処女のところに来た。 (27) この処女は、ダビデの家系のヨセフという人のいいなずけで、名をマリヤといった。 (28) 御使いは、はいって来ると、マリヤに言った。「おめでとう、恵まれた方。主があなたとともにおられます。」 (29) しかし、マリヤはこのことばに、ひどくとまどって、これはいったい何のあいさつかと考え込んだ。 (30) すると御使いが言った。「こわがることはない。マリヤ。あなたは神から恵みを受けたのです。 (31) ご覧なさい。あなたはみごもって、男の子を産みます。名をイエスとつけなさい。 (32) その子はすぐれた者となり、いと高き方の子と呼ばれます。また、神である主は彼にその父ダビデの王位をお与えになります。 (33) 彼はとこしえにヤコブの家を治め、その国は終わることがありません。」 (34) そこで、マリヤは御使いに言った。「どうしてそのようなことになりえましょう。私はまだ男の人を知りませんのに。」 (35) 御使いは答えて言った。「聖霊があなたの上に臨み、いと高き方の力があなたをおおいます。それゆえ、生まれる者は、聖なる者、神の子と呼ばれます。 (36) ご覧なさい。あなたの親類のエリサベツも、あの年になって男の子を宿しています。不妊の女といわれていた人なのに、今はもう六か月です。 (37) 神にとって不可能なことは一つもありません。」 (38) マリヤは言った。「ほんとうに、私は主のはしためです。どうぞ、あなたのおことばどおりこの身になりますように。」こうして御使いは彼女から去って行った。
(Isaiah 43:19) See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
(イザヤ 43:19) 見よ。わたしは新しい事をする。今、もうそれが起ころうとしている。あなたがたは、それを知らないのか。確かに、わたしは荒野に道を、荒地に川を設ける。
1. 新しいもののサイン Signs of the new things
- 人は新しくて、新鮮で違うものを求める。でも実際に来ると受け取る準備ができていない。
People want new, fresh and some thing different, but often when it comes people are not ready to receive it.
- 「新しいこと」は驚くことが多い 29節 “New” is often surprising V.29
- 疑問に思うことが多い。29節 It is often questionable V.29
- 経験不足の人に来ることが多い。「バージン」It comes to the inexperienced people: “virgin”
- 意味不明なこと、想像がつかないことが多い。「絶対にないと絶対にいわない」
It often does not make sense or unimaginable thing. “Never say never”
2. 神様が新しい事をするのに特定の人を選ぶ God chooses the certain people’s lives to do new things
マリアは忠実で、整っていて、待っていた。Mary was faithful, prepared and waited.
V. 28 “Who are highly favored”
- マリアは「それ」がくるまで成功していた。素晴らしい男性を見つけた。
Mary was successful before “it” came: She found the good man!
- 驚くものであったが、マリアは神様が何か大きなことをする予感はしていた。
Even though it was surprising, Mary had expectation that God will do something Big.
3. 「新しいもの」に近づくにつれて乗り越える必要がある Things we must overcome as we move towards “new”
- 心地のよさvs新しい挑戦 Our own Comfort vs New challenges
- 自分に対する自信のなさvs 神様からくる自信 Lack of confidence in yourself Vs Confidence in God
- 不確定：恐れと不透明を受け入れることを学ぶ。そして神様を信頼する。
Uncertainty: Learning to accept the fear and uncertainty, and trust God
(Ecclesiastes 11:5) Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
(伝道 11:5) あなたは妊婦の胎内の骨々のことと同様、風の道がどのようなものかを知らない。そのように、あなたはいっさいを行なわれる神のみわざを知らない。
-人々の意見。 People’s opinion
-神様以外に大事なものを諦める覚悟をする。マリアにとってはヨセフだった。
Be ready to Give up the most important thing in your life other than God: for Mary, it was Joseph.
