(1 Samuel 18:1-4) After David had finished talking with Saul, he met Jonathan, the king’s son. There was an immediate bond between them, for Jonathan loved David. (2) From that day on Saul kept David with him and wouldn’t let him return home. (3) And Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself. (4) Jonathan sealed the pact by taking off his robe and giving it to David, together with his tunic, sword, bow, and belt.
(1サムエル 18:1-4) ダビデがサウルと語り終えたとき、ヨナタンの心はダビデの心に結びついた。ヨナタンは、自分と同じほどにダビデを愛した。(2) サウルはその日、ダビデを召しかかえ、父の家に帰らせなかった。(3) ヨナタンは、自分と同じほどにダビデを愛したので、ダビデと契約を結んだ。(4) ヨナタンは、着ていた上着を脱いで、それをダビデに与え、自分のよろいかぶと、さらに剣、弓、帯までも彼に与えた。
1.Jonathanヨナタン: The Hero Maker and True friend ヒローを生み出す者、そして真の友
-When we start our lives with God, He places us with the right people who can help us in our journey: David met Jonathan right after he killed Goliath. This was the day that defined David’s future. And there was immediate bond between Jonathan and David
-私たちが神様との歩みを始めると、神様は私たちの周りに必要な人を置いて、私たちの旅を助けてくれる。ダビデはゴリアテを殺した直後にヨナタンに出会った。その日はダビデの将来に大きく左右する日になった。そしてヨナタンとダビデの間にはすぐに強い絆ができた。
-Leaders with big visions and calling need big help: Since that day, Jonathan was willing to do anything for David to be successful. David was not a self-made king, but he became a king with the Jonathan’s help and loyalty.
-大きなビジョンと使命を持つリーダには多くの助けが必要：その日以来、ヨナタンはダビデの成功のために何でもする心を決めていた。ダビデは自分一人の力で王になったのではなく、ヨナタンのヘルプと忠誠の心を借りて王になった。
(1 Samuel 20:4) Jonathan said to David, "Whatever you want me to do, I'll do for you."
(1サムエル 20:4) するとヨナタンはダビデに言った。「あなたの言われることは、何でもあなたのためにしましょう。」
-Not only are we called to be like “David”, but to be like “Jonathan” to each other: Many wishes to be a hero like David, but we will not be successful without true friends and supporters of our destinies.
-私たちは’ダビデ’の様になるだけではなく、お互いに’ヨナタン’の様な存在になることを望まれている：多くの人がダビデの様なヒーローになりたいと思うが、私たちの運命を共にできる真の友達とサポートがいないと成功できない。
2. Be a Hero Maker ヒーローを生み出す者になれ
A.Be a faithful friend 忠実な友達になれ！: Many People want true friends and wishes that someone becomes one for them, but if we want true friends, we must be that friend to others first.
多くの人が真の友達を求めて、誰かにそうなって欲しいと願いっている。もし真の友が欲しいのであれば、まずは自分が相手に対してその様にならなければならない。
B.Be like minded, have the same heart and vision! 同じハートとビジョンを持ち、同じ思いを持て！：
There was an immediate bond between David and Jonathan, because they both shared the same heart for God and the nation of Israel.
ダビデとヨナタンの間にはすぐに絆が生まれた。それは彼らの神様とイスラエルの国への思いが同じだったから。
(John 15:15) I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
(ヨハネ福 15:15) わたしはもはや、あなたがたをしもべとは呼びません。しもべは主人のすることを知らないからです。わたしはあなたがたを友と呼びました。なぜなら父から聞いたことをみな、あなたがたに知らせたからです。
C.Have a big heart, and a big picture！大きな心を持ち、大きな視野を持て！：
A big hearted person have a big picture of things. They don’t think about own benefit only, but the benefit of others, and the kingdom of God. Jonathan was the prince, but he saw the potential of David, and was willing to give up his position for the sake of Israel and the plan of God.
大きな心を持つ人は大きな視野を持っている。彼らは自分の利益だけを求めず、他の人の利益や神様の王国のことを考えていた。ヨナタンは王子だったが、ダビデの可能性を見て、またイスラエルの国と神様の計画のために自分の地位をおしみなく諦める事を決めていた。
D.Be an encourager to people around you 周りにいる人を励ます人になる：
Jonathan constantly believed in David and his future when David himself couldn’t believe.
ヨナタンはダビデが自分自身を信じれなくなった時でも彼と彼の将来を信じていた。
(1 Samuel 23:15-17) While David was at Horesh in the Desert of Ziph, he learned that Saul had come out to take his life. (16) And Saul's son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God. (17) "Don't be afraid," he said. "My father Saul will not lay a hand on you. You will be king over Israel, and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul knows this.”
(1サムエル 23:15-17) ダビデは、サウルが自分のいのちをねらって出て来たので恐れていた。そのときダビデはジフの荒野のホレシュにいた。(16) サウルの子ヨナタンは、ホレシュのダビデのところに来て、神の御名によってダビデを力づけた。(17) 彼はダビデに言った。「恐れることはありません。私の父サウルの手があなたの身に及ぶことはないからです。あなたこそ、イスラエルの王となり、私はあなた の次に立つ者となるでしょう。私の父サウルもまた、そうなることを確かに知っているのです。」
D. Be truly glad when others succeed他の人が成功した時も心から喜ぶ: We all share in each other’s success. No one can be successful on their own; we all succeed because of our friends, family and many other supporters around us. We all help each other to fulfill each of our destinies.
私たちは互いの成功を分け合います。誰も自分一人の力だけで成功することはできない。私たちの友達、家族そしてその他の周りの人の助けがあってこそ成功できる。私たちはお互いに使命を果たす為に助け合っている。
E.Give your life to the best friend, Jesus 自分の人生をベストフレンド、イエスに捧げる：
Jesus makes us feel giving up everything for him, because of his love, his passion, his vision and potential. He is the true king and hero.
イエスは彼の愛、情熱、そしてビジョンと可能性で、私たち全てを諦めることができる気持ちにさせてくれる。彼は真の王であり、ヒーローだから。
(1 Samuel 20:41-42) After the boy had gone, David got up from the south side of the stone and bowed down before Jonathan three times, with his face to the ground. Then they kissed each other and wept together—but David wept the most. (42) Jonathan said to David, "Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the LORD, saying, 'The LORD is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.' " Then David left, and Jonathan went back to the town.
(1サムエル 20:41-42) 子どもが行ってしまうと、ダビデは南側のほうから出て来て、地にひれ伏し、三度礼をした。ふたりは口づけして、抱き合って泣き、ダビデはいっそう激しく泣いた。(42) ヨナタンはダビデに言った。「では、安心して行きなさい。私たちふたりは、『主が、私とあなた、また、私の子孫とあなたの子孫との間の永遠の証人です。』 と言って、主の御名によって誓ったのです。」こうしてダビデは立ち去った。ヨナタンは町へ帰って行った。
(2 Samuel 1:26) I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women.
(2サムエル 1:26) あなたのために私は悲しむ。私の兄弟ヨナタンよ。あなたは私を大いに喜ばせ、あなたの私への愛は、女の愛にもまさって、すばらしかった。
(John 15:13) Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
(ヨハネ福 15:13)人がその友のためにいのちを捨てるという、これよりも大きな愛はだれも持っていません。
(1 John 3:16) This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
(1ヨハネ 3:16)キリストは、私たちのために、ご自分のいのちをお捨てになりました。それによって私たちに愛がわかったのです。ですから私たちは、兄弟のために、いのちを捨てるべきです。
