(Luke 15:20) “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son. threw his arms around him and kissed him.”

-History displays humanity’s question about connection. Every corner of the globe, in every town, village and city. Black, white or yellow, rich, poor or in-between, the human-race have always asked questions about connection.
人類の繋がりに関する問題について歴史が証明している。地球の隅々まで、全ての町、村や地域において。黒人、白人、黄色人種、また金持ち、貧困の中にいる人たちの間で、人類はこの繋がりに関する質問を常に持ち続けてきた。
-We do this because we created to connect.

(Ecclesiastes 3:11) “God has set eternity in the hearts of man.”

(Acts 17:28) ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

-So how do we connect? Church, ritual, religiousness, good works….?

-Jesus addresses this question in Luke 15. Three stories, same point.
イエスがこの質問をルカ１５章でなげかけている。３つのストーリーから、同じポイントで。
1. God wants to connect
神様は繋がりを求めている
-“While he was still a long way off.”
「ところが、まだ家までは遠かったのに」
-God keeps an eye out for us and sees us from a distance.
神様は私たちに目を留めて、そして遠くから見ていてくれる。
2. God makes a way to connect
神様は繋がる道を造ってくれる
-“He runs towards His son.”
「父親は彼を見つけ、走り寄って」
-For all have sinned and fallen short and the result of this sin is separation, but God makes a way. Jesus.
全ての人が罪を負ってしまったので、神様に程遠く、罪の結果は神様と離別となる。しかし、神様が道を造ってくれた。
それは、イエス。
3. God wants a connection to become a relationship 神様は繋がりが関係へと変わっていくとこを願っている
-“Threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
「彼を抱き、口づけした。」
-This is forgiveness, restoration and a reinstating of his position as a child.
これは父が彼を赦し、関係が修復され、子どもとしての地位を戻してくれたことを意味する。
-This is God’s sole desire, to answer this question about connection.
これがたった一つの神様の願いであり、繋がりに関するも問題への答え。
-Yes He does, Yes He can and it is only the beginning.
そう、神様と繋がりを持つことができ、そしてそれはただの始まりに過ぎない。
