(Luke 4:18-21 / Message Bible) He came to Nazareth where he had been reared. As he always did on the Sabbath, he went to the meeting place. When he stood up to read, he was handed the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written, God's Spirit is on me;
he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free, to announce, "This is God's year to act!" He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the assistant, and sat down. Every eye in the place was on him, intent. Then he started in, "You've just heard Scripture make history. It came true just now in this place."
（ルカ 4:18-２１/メッセージ直訳) 彼は、彼が育った故郷に帰って来た。彼はいつも安息日にしていた様に、集会場へと行った。そこで彼が立ち上がって読もうとした時、預言者イザヤの巻物を渡された。そしてその巻物を開いた時に、イザヤ書のこの箇所が目に留まった。「神の霊が私の上に留まっている。神は私に、貧しい者たちへ良い知らせのメッセージを告げるよう任命された。囚人たちが赦され、盲目の人たちの目が癒されることを宣言するために。疲れ果てた者たち、押しつぶされた者たちを解放するために。そしてこの年が神が動く時であることを告げ知らせるために！イエスは巻物を巻き戻し隣にいた者へ渡し、座った。そこにいたすべての者たちの目は完全にイエスに注目していた。そしてイエスは言った、“たった今この聖書の言葉は歴史となった。それが今ここで成就したからだ。」
1. God’s Spirit is on me神の霊が私の上に留まっている。

神は私に、貧しい者たちへ良い知らせを告げるよう任命された。

囚人たちが赦され、盲目の人たちの目が癒されることを宣言するために。
4.’To set the burdened and battered free 疲れ果てた者たち、押しつぶされた者たちを解放するために。

イエスは巻物を巻き戻し隣にいた者へ渡し、座った。そこにいたすべての者たちの目は完全にイエスに注目していた。そしてイエスは言った、“たった今この聖書の言葉は歴史となった。それが今ここで成就したからだ”。
